Questions
Questions about red and copper color
Do I need a consultation before my first color?
Yes. Every color service begins with one, so that your colorist sees your hair and your history before mixing anything, and so you leave with a visit schedule in weeks.
How often will I need to come in?
Most reds hold their tone with a gloss visit every four to six weeks and a color refresh every eight to ten. Your consultation sets your own number, because a cherry red and an auburn run on different clocks.
Does red really fade faster than other colors?
Red and copper tones are among the first to soften, with every wash and with sun and heat. That is why we plan the weeks between visits, not only the color day.
Can I go red from dark brown or black hair?
Often, in steps. Dark hair usually needs lightening first, and your colorist tells you at the consultation how many visits the plan may take.
Can I see my price before I book?
Prices come from your hair, your plan and your colorist's level, so we quote after your consultation. You agree to the price before anything is mixed.
What should I do at home between visits?
Wash with cool water and a color-safe shampoo, wash less often, and keep heat tools on a low setting. Your colorist writes your routine into your plan.
Can I bring photos?
Please do, including photos of reds you don't want. They help you and your colorist agree on words for a shade.
What if my red came from a box or another salon?
Tell us everything you remember. Your color history decides the plan and the steps, and some plans take more than one visit.
Do you color gray?
Yes. Root color covers gray in red and copper shades, and your colorist will tell you how often the roots will need it.
Where do I park?
Metered street parking and a public garage are a short walk from the studio.
